Cooly Rocks On is Australia’s hottest new music and car festival which runs 1-11 June 2012 in the Coolangatta-Tweed Heads Region. Over 1,000 Classic Cars, Hot Rods and Cruisers line the streets and Rock ‘n Roll, Rockabilly and Swing rules the airwaves. Don’t miss the night car cruises, surfing competition, street parade, Miss Pinup competition, dance competition and dancers strutting their moves on any bit of floor they can find.
Elvis impersonators, dancers, greasers, cars and pinup girls transform the streets of Coolangatta and Tweed Heads into a flashback to the times when Rock ‘n’ Roll ruled!
Cooly Rocks On attracts over 50,000 people into the Gold Coast-Tweed Heads region for an 11-day long celebration of all things 50s and 60s. Every day the streets fill with people and the local shops are on show, all cumulating in a Grand Finale weekend on the 9th and 10th June where the streets are closed to traffic and 8+ outdoor stages are erected with live shows running all day long.
Bring your friends and family down to the Cooly Rocks On festival and visit 100+ retro market stalls and 100+ craft market stalls, walk through the thousand cars competing in the Show ‘n’ Shine and enjoy the fun and friendly atmosphere.
