Sookii

Sookii is a label passionately loved by a small yet growing number of individuals all over Brisbane and beyond. Originally a regular fixture at Brisbane’s Valley Markets the 9 year old label found a permanent home in Highgate Hill 5 years ago. Within its distinctive canary yellow interior, the bright boutique showcases Sookii’s organic designs which are characterised by signature denim and recycled vintage Japanese fabrics.

The boutique features - structured pieces trimmed with unique detail – limited edition tops and dresses made from the vintage silks – various accessories – original handbags - and a range of homewares that complete the Sookii range.

Brisbane born designer Helen Miller formally trained in fashion design at Moreton Institute of TAFE but puts her label’s success solely down to a skill inherited from her Japanese mother who is a natural seamstress. The label has featured in numerous magazines including Peppermint and Frankie, music clips and fashion parades. Helen also designs for Evangeline (available at Sookii) which is a more playful label she recently created with her close friend Janne Scott. Helen lives in Dutton Park with her partner and two children.
